1. It’s most one and half year l left this blog, exactly i forgot that i have blog \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
2. As usual i wrote this blog is for myself for be my referer on the future.<\/p>\n
3. Today i’ll put some tutorial or it can be HOW to regarding GNOKII the sms gateway.<\/p>\n
4. I have been a while trying others sms gateway such as smstools3, gammu and bla bla.. but i’m fall in with gnokii. (actually it’s because i only succeed with gnokii not the others :p )<\/p>\n
5. Ok lets start. The recipes are:<\/p>\n
i. OS (i used Ubuntu 10.10 or 11.10 as u wish)
\nii. apache+php+mysq+phpmyadmin+and+some+some+tools+to+make+ur+
\nweb+server+running+perfectly
\niii. Oldskool phone – I’m tested with Motorola L7 and Nokia 3120 Classic
\niv. Suitable cable for those phones.
\nv. Machine or Box or Oldskool PC or Laptop<\/p>\n
6. How :<\/p>\n
a. install OS
\nb. apt-get update
\nc. apt-get install -y apache2 mysql-server php5 php5-cli php5-cgi php-pear php-db phpmyadmin libapache2-mod-php5 gcc sendmail
\nd. apt-get install gnokii gnokii-smsd gnokii-smsd-mysql
\ne. Plug in your phone – 1st example Motorola L7
\nf. configure gnokii config file at \/etc\/xdg\/gnokii\/config<\/p>\n
Just edit this value :
\nport = \/dev\/ttyACM0
\nmodel = AT
\nconnection = serial<\/p>\n
g. copy config to your home example -> \/home\/ayam\/.config\/gnokii\/config
\nh. See wheter your phone connected or not : lsusb<\/p>\n
i. should show something like this :<\/p>\n

j. Then running gnokii –identify<\/p>\n

k. Create mysql db for example smsdb and run this sql<\/p>\n
mysql -u root smsdb < \/usr\/share\/doc\/gnokii-smsd-mysql\/sms.tables.mysql.sql<\/p>\n
l. Then run the sms daemon<\/p>\n
smsd –module mysql -u root -p urpasswd -d smsdb<\/p>\n
m. Tadaa.. now all sms will get into table inbox , if u want to send just insert it into outbox table.<\/p>\n
Done for Motorola L7 config, for Nokia 3120 Classic it’s quite tricky<\/p>\n
a. Install libusb<\/p>\n
apt-get install libusb-dev<\/p>\n
b. Copy \/usr\/share\/doc\/gnokii\/sample\/45-nokiadku2.rules in \/etc\/udev\/rules.d\/ and replugging
\nthe phone.<\/p>\n
c. Edit gnokii config files<\/p>\n

d. try running gnokii –identify<\/p>\n
